Laying technology

Surface preparation – Concrete

Shot-blasting, grinding, or milling All non-adhesive particles must be removed so that the surface is clean, dry, dust-free, and open-structured. The surface must not be contaminated with oils or any other substances.
For penetration, use Epotec PU Primer or Epotec Primer SF, depending on the condition of the concrete.
Highly porous surfaces may require 2 layers of penetration. Depending on the local conditions and on the state of the foundation, Epotec Primer SF or Epotec Primer SW may also be used.

Surface preparation – Asphalt

Shot-blasting providing a good texture and removing all impurities. For penetration, use Epotec PU Primer.

Mixing

Packages are pre-weighed in order to achieve optimal results during application. Never divide or change the batches in the package. Avoid too much air from entering the mixture. Mix in a dry environment to prevent humidity from entering the mixture.

Application – Epotec PU Primer

Immediately after mixing all the components, spread the material with a rake or a notched trowel so that the layer is even. The material is self-levelling. Before applying Epotec PU Finish, sprinkle silica sand of fraction 0.3 – 0.8 (depending on the required grain size) thoroughly over the entire surface. After hardening, remove all non-adhesive particles with a broom and a vacuum cleaner.

Epotec PU Finish

Immediately after mixing, spread the material with a rubber spreader or a notched trowel and roll over with a roller.
